I hate myself for buying the FarSight versions "at gunpoint". I just didn't see the possibility that someone would nab the licence(s) so soon, although I'm positive the deal was probably done.
Some random thoughts about the Zen Williams/Bally thing after the new trailer thingy.
- Everything...
It would make sense, hope it's in the cards! Jurassic Park and Back To The Future are tricky though, because Pinball FX3 has done their original tables on both (South Park too) and other Universal properties - and might "hold" the Universal license (if that's even possible)...?
Others than the...
In my opinion only Season 1 is a an absolute must-own completely. With the rest you can manage getting "separates".
There are some Williams games, like Whirlwind, that are also a must-own IMO before they disappear - but it all comes to taste and table theme / gameplay preferences. Whirlwind...
I used to much prefer TPA's physics to Zen's, but at least on the consoles (Xbox One), playing TPA now seems really sluggish. Some tables, like Judge Dredd, seem like the ball is running in slow motion.
This is very true. Some tables are almost unplayable because of the unnecessarily hard/long...
Having grown up with these movies and being a huge fan of all of them, I'm very excited about this collection. However, I have my reservations.
Watching some YouTube clips (why aren't there STILL any playable demos for next gen consoles, like there used to be?!) you get the sense that it's...
I'm also a "Mac guy" nowadays. There isn't a Mac version, no. You could try Parallels - it differs from Bootcamp in the way that it's actually a Mac "app", you don't have to reboot or sacrifice an entire hard disk partition to Windows (Windows resides "inside" Parallels). Gaming performance can...
You used to, yes, but at least on Xbox One, you can't anymore. The option just isn't there. I don't know the thinking behind it, but it has effectively stopped me from buying new FX2 tables.
I'm curious - how does it look? How is the ball? Are there any light fx or is it closer to "Pinball HoF: Williams Collection" (as in - few or none)?
I also jumped ship meanwhile, bought an Xbox One last December.
Yes, this is how the new XBONE works. I actually find it convenient that you're able to jump back to the "desktop" with the main X button and back into a game - or change games mid-play if you like.
There has been talk about this in many other threads as well, but could it actually be plausible? I mean, it's a relatively "forgotten" movie from the mid-90's, much like Starship Troopers - although both are very much cult classics, the latter a bit more than the former ;). Licensing shouldn't...
Off-topic, but you're not - the show has been running on fumes for years. It used to be pretty consistently hilarious, that's rare these days (I don't watch it anymore).
I can confirm, happened to me yesterday. I think it happens when you get the "Juggler Multiball", the camera moves into plunger mode, and it's pretty darn difficult to play afterwards. :)
Edit: or actually, is it "Neon Multiball", reported here already...
Does anyone else (Xbox One owners) think that Circus Voltaire and Ripley's suffer from occasional lazy framerate and everything seems a bit too "sluggish" at times? Both are very cluttered and visually taxing tables, but surely it's not a hardware issue - this machine is capable of so much more...
Yes, this is definitely a TV issue. It's called "input lag" and it affects pinball games the most. Sony TVs are usually great because they IMO have the best "Game Mode".
Hey, that looks like a fun table, I've never even seen or played it. It's funny how skateboarding was so trendy in the 1980's. Skate Or Die, 720°, even California Games... :)
I hate this. The missions in the SW tables, for instance, are usually really cool, but it takes ages to activate them...so I won't even bother.
Also, the Xbox One version of Zen/Pinball FX2 doesn't seem to have an option to demo the tables - unless I'm mistaken.
