After talking with Bobby from FarSight, Jeff is under the impression that they aren't going to do Jack*Bot, maybe (this is speculation of others) 'cause it has the same playfield as Pin*Bot and might be perceived by some to be too similar. So I just wanted to add my support for the table here: they definitely *should* finish the trilogy with this last, very impressive piece, and heck, it'll be relatively easy for them to produce since most of the modelling work is already done from Pin*Bot! But Jack*Bot's unique rule set looks amazing and I so want it in Pinball Arcade so I can have a chance to dig into it; I've tried it in real life but had no idea what to do and didn't get far on my quarters.

And the NW Pinball Championship's tournament video of it linked up above is so spectacular it just deserves being embedded too:

saying Jack*Bot is like Pin*Bot is like saying the automobile is just like a horse and buggy.

Don't underestimate the power of the Derp. Considering what I see on FB I wouldn't be surprised if Jack*Bot was chosen then people will while "WHY? Its just Pin*Bot with playing cards!" :p

...oh and "Xbox?" :p

IMO, I want the trilogy as well. :)

Even though the layout is the same, I think JB is different enough from PB rule wise that there won't be too many complainers if they release it. Who am I kidding, there will always be complainers. But yeah, I'd like to see JB. Casino Run is great.

I enjoy Jack*Bot having played it a bunch in Visual Pinball it's for sure my favorite of the Pin*Bot Trilogy. I enjoy the Casino theme of the table, makes it very unique when compared to Jack*Bot and BoP*B. Plus the scoring is just ridiculous in this game which adds to the enjoyment factor for me.

JackBot

Just played this table for the first time in VP, and am now looking for one IRL (decided it's going to be one of my first machines). Anyway, I would absolutely LOVE to see this happen in TPA so I can play it anywhere I go

It'd be good to have eventually, to complete the trilogy. However, it is fairly similar to Pinbot, and I'd prefer they hit the more unique stuff first.

The playfield is very similar, but the game's rules are completely different and this game plays very differently from pinbot. I'd rather have this sooner than later.

Definitely true. If you spend even five minutes with it you can tell that it's not even close to the same thing.

It's not a lot like it... it's exactly like it, with one very small difference. I think the game is tons and tons of fun, if a bit easy. Much easier than Pin*Bot. The saucer is the key shot. It spins a DMD slot machine and gives awards, including lots of EBs (which is what makes the game a bit easy) and Specials. The "wizard mode" is Casino Run, which is a timed mode that lets you gamble that you'll make shots before the timer runs out or until you hit a "bomb".

It seems likely that it will eventually be on TPA, because it's an unlicensed table from WMS's golden era. Main problem: it wasn't very popular. I believe players felt the playfield-copied-from-Pin*Bot made the game not original enough, even though it's really a completely different game because of the rules.

1996 was not the golden era.

1995,96,97 was the great downfall.

Great pins in that era. And JackBot is one of them.

It's nothing like pinbot. The rules , sound , lights, DMD... It's a completely different experience and one of the best programmed games ever because they recycled an existing design, they focused entirely on making the rules amazing.

This is a must for the arcade , it's the best of the PinBot trilogy and would be an absolute shame if it doesn't make it.
