Just played this table for the first time in VP, and am now looking for one IRL (decided it's going to be one of my first machines). Anyway, I would absolutely LOVE to see this happen in TPA so I can play it anywhere I go

I think there still is one JackBot at the C-Bar here in Portland. It's still listed as there on the Rose City Pinball page.

Adding another vote. I have a soft spot for Jack*Bot since it was the machine on which I learned to seriously play pinball, in my college's game room. Casino Run is a blast, even if the extra balls it dishes out make the game almost infinitely playable. And I never did finish Mega Visor and been wondering what happens next for 16 years now.

I have never played or even seen Jackbot, but I love PB and BoP, so I'd hate for the trilogy to go unfinished in TPA. Also it will probably be the only way I ever get to play it!

After talking with Bobby from FarSight, Jeff is under the impression that they aren't going to do Jack*Bot, maybe (this is speculation of others) 'cause it has the same playfield as Pin*Bot and might be perceived by some to be too similar. So I just wanted to add my support for the table here: they definitely *should* finish the trilogy with this last, very impressive piece, and heck, it'll be relatively easy for them to produce since most of the modelling work is already done from Pin*Bot! But Jack*Bot's unique rule set looks amazing and I so want it in Pinball Arcade so I can have a chance to dig into it; I've tried it in real life but had no idea what to do and didn't get far on my quarters.

And the NW Pinball Championship's tournament video of it linked up above is so spectacular it just deserves being embedded too:

This is stupid.

Why does The Getaway get a pass yet JackBot gets poo pooed? Both JackBot and Getaway are just Pinbot and Highspeed with better art, music, lighting, design and rule sets. I just don't get it.

JackBot is amazing it's a real shame we won't see it, Banzai Run, or High a Speed since those didn't make top ten in polls.

It's nice they take our polls seriously but, I wish they'd use some discretion of thier own when deciding which tables to do. I mean Street Fighter 2 is next if they are going in order of polling and that thing is truly an abomination to Street Fighter. It's my favorite game series of all time, I'm praying Capcom says no to any sort of licensing deal. Street Fighter 2 pinball is basically to Street Fighter what the Zelda CDI games are to the Zelda franchise: an embarrassing cash in that cheapens the IP it's based off of and is best left forgotten.

I wonder the same thing myself. The conclusion I tend to come to is that The Getaway sets itself apart from its predecessor while still remaining reasonably close to its inspiration, whereas Jack*Bot's lack of obvious ways to set itself apart from Pin*Bot without playing it leads many people to think it to be a clone of Pin*Bot.

Look, we know that you hate Premier with the passion of one thousand burning suns, but...really? Can you honestly tell me that the original Street Fighter, Street Fighter EX and (God help us all) Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game aren't bigger black eyes for the franchise? If you don't like the Street Fighter II pin, that's fine (Lord knows that the translite is indefensible), but you can hardly call it the Street Fighter franchise's answer to the Triforce of Evil.

But... they haven't made either of them yet!

I think Mark meant in terms of the rep the two tables have among pinheads, especially on the PAF forums.

You brought Leet Mighter EX into this? Granted it's my least favorite LM series, it's not bad by any means.

Leet Mighter the Movie the Game is, yeah, another forgotten thing. That's why if uhh, they were planning to re-release that on say Xbox Live Arcade or PSN I'd be all like "Stop, Capcom, you're going to lose money! It's horrible".

Look Farsight has competing products on the market. Zen has Leet Mighter tables and while I've never played them, I can tell you from screens the artwork is there, the music and sound is there, it's not a bad representation. Now you go putting this Premier version out and LM fans are going to take one look at that translite and either laugh their asses off, or throw up. Either way it does not make your game look good, and it will make Zen look like a better game which it is not. It's just a bad idea all around.

It's not a good pin. It's a laughably bad use of the license. It's best left in the gutter! You're not going to convince me otherwise by arguing that it's worth doing -just because- arguably worse uses of Leet Mighter license exist, like the LM2 GIJoes or the Movie Game. Leave those dead and buried as well!

Speaking of bad uses of the license. I have Leet Mighter Two "Look it!" book. It's a where's Waldo kind of book, that I got as a gag gift for my 14th birthday. Also, remember the Cartoon? Poor LM2 lol.

*if you're wondering why I'm calling it Leet Mighter, I don't want Farsight to do a forum seach and get a lot of hits for s.treet f.ighter Two and think "oh there must be lots of interest for this table". Can't be responsible for that, so it's Leet Mighter two.
