I feel your pain. I just got 128 mil on Class of 1812 which would have been first place. However, at the end, the game said my score was only 28 mil. Goddammit.

It's drag. Only thing to do.....play more pinball ;)

When I checked out this tournament, I was surprised that there is only a handful of people in the gold tournament. Maybe this is my chance to be a top ten player ;)

I hope there will be more players, otherwise, the pc tournament will be short lived :( (hoping there are more people in the silver and bronze tournament)

The fact that there are people in non-bronze tournaments at all is probably a bug. They didn't account for mobile people with the same FS accounts playing in both.

edit: Also vikingerik found the tournament. Hide your scores and livestock!

Oh I knew about it, was just busy the last couple days.

Put up 2668M on TZ for #1. Sorry there Space Tractor. :) Took about 8 games before everything went right in the same run. Pretty sure there's no dominant strategy here. You just have to take whatever's lit and available. Multiball, PB Mania, Fast Lock, LITZ... they're all good to be in because they're all better than not being in one of them. This top game had some of each, 300M from one Fast Lock, about 400M from one good multiball, LITZ for 500M... and the linchpin was 447M from two Powerball Manias that got duplicated via the camera Collect Bonus.

The fastest way to score is indeed doubled PB jackpots in regular multiball, but that's seriously hard to do, even I rarely manage more than about two before losing the multiball. The Spiral Helpers are very important for setting up the jackpot and camera shots, you really don't want to take them out of play with the Powerball active. I had some decent PB multiballs in other games, but not in that top game.

Double LITZ is possible in 20 minutes (I did it once) but not as good as a single LITZ and mixing in the multiballs. If you're going for door panels, the ramps are lighting the locks and gumballs anyway, best to take them. Don't forget that the gumball loads score 25M each, make sure to take them before game over.

And on Ripley's, got in that third 2x continent tour RIGHT AT THE BUZZER. 411M final score. Thanks to keeping the first North America Bigfoot going for 35M. Just that Bigfoot accounted for 35M x 7 = 245M of the total. I intentionally just restarted a few times until getting one good Bigfoot going at the beginning.

I did unintentionally start Atlantis once... tried to tilt out of it, and discovered that Atlantis STAYS LIT if you tilt during it. The Ripley's letters don't clear out until Atlantis ends, which doesn't happen if you tilt, so they stay lit and you can start Atlantis again. So I just drained out of it the normal way as soon as possible.

Don't play Antarctica or Africa at all, just drain out of them ASAP, they can't score fast enough to compete with Bigfoot and tours. Ignore the other continents as well, just pound more tours as fast as possible after getting one good Bigfoot. You might even consider draining during Australia to bypass the time you're locked out from starting other continents, or during Europe if it's the last one still running before a tour.

Holy crap. That score on Ripleys just completely demoralized me. Wow. Guess I'll do something else now!

I completely suck at shooting big foot. It the one shot on the table I have no feel for, so I always ignore North America. Guess I should learn how to put that one in my arsenal.

So I put up #1 scores on TZ and Ripley's, and here's the rest of my rundown at the moment:

Should have had #1 on Class of 1812 but it missed the rollover and credited me with only 55M not 155M. :p

Space Shuttle 11.1M for #2 behind Dizzer2012 (not sure if that's legit). No real secret here, just get multiball and pound the stop-and-score. I did have to go for the drops and spinner to get a couple EBs, can't go the full 20 minutes on just three balls.

Teed Off 3.4B for #2, 200M behind Space Tractor. Almost all of it came from grinding Lightning Storm for over 10 minutes.

Victory 77.7M for #2 just 300k behind pinballwiz45b! One shot away from the top spot!

Haunted House 2.2M for #5. No idea what to do here for more, and hate the table enough not to try.

Will deal with Cactus Canyon and that bonus crapshoot sometime tomorrow or later.

1812-tournament.jpg

Edit: Played Class of 1812 again before going to bed. AGAIN it failed to detect the rollover, TWICE (I scored over 200M.) Played again and intentionally stopped at 99M to put up at least a decent leaderboard score. Space Tractor has 112M so the tournament should be able to handle rollovers, but so far it's 0 for 3 for me. Here's proof that I can score that fast, a screenshot of 99M with plenty of time left on the clock. All it is is shooting the ramps back and forth without ever missing, that's literally all you need to do.

Haunted House has the same problem as some of the other tables reported. It will fail to register rollovers randomly.

Dizzer2012 seems completely unbeatable in the bronze section. Sort of interesting considering his relative lack of high scores on the regular leaderboards. I guess he just likes playing shorter games? Congrats to him if he's on here. Unless viking really pounds tables tonight I don't think anyone is going to catch him.

Wow Vikingerik 411M on Ripley's, that's insane!! :) I always try to get a screenshot of the final standings on each table right before the mobile tourney ends, and noone was near that! Your Space Shuttle score is very strong as well. Well played!

I'm wondering if Dizzer2012's scores are legit or not, since that doesn't seem to be someone we've ever heard of anywhere else. I'll trust Farsight to sort it out.

And I do indeed have time tonight to pound some tables.

That list kind of makes me question it even more honestly, since his alltime records for HH, Space Shuttle, Class of 1812, and Tee'd Off at least are way below his 20 minute scores during this. Can't remember the others offhand without checking ingame. Then again as VE said we'll just have to trust farsight to sort it out, since it's not like any of his scores are completely outlandish or anything.

Exactly... they're not quite outlandish enough to be suspicious. Which in my mind, makes them automatically suspicious. They're all just-good-enough. Unlike the 24M score on HH, which is just plain ridiculous.

FWIW my CC game, I didn't get the +1M Bonus bounty. I'd have had 400M+ if I did. That game was one ball of 19 minutes and change with 71x bonus multiplier and 218M bonus total. High Noon got me 40M-ish. I'd sure have liked to have kept playing without a time limit ....

I had a +1M bounty, one ball, 72M high noon game and ended at 280 million. There's something going on in that table I don't get. It's probably something to do with where the non-bounty bonus amount comes from, but I haven't been able to find any information on that online.
