It's weird that only a couple of PAF members are in Gold Division. BTW, Korven... 131m on CC. I suck at pins.

awww bummer. i only started the tournament yesterday ... should be fun!

i am sooooooooo bad at CC.

also promised to go to bed with the wife tonight so no score from me .... in pinball i mean.

Not sure how I feel about the time limit yet. Sure it cuts down on marathon games (thankfully) but all my games are turning into 1 ball affairs. I really want papa rules but I'm aware of the issues with the emulation.

But I usually only get around 300M on a LitZ so even hitting two would not get me close to the top.

Currently #1 on Ripley's, I had two continents tours on that game and didn't get x2 scoring on the first one so there's still room for progress.

Yeah but you pop a big ol' bonus coming out of LitZ too, maybe a couple hundred mil from powerball (I think).

Speaking of which, don't forget to drain just before you hit the time limit to get dem points.

Damn animations take to long. Just blew a 200+ bonus because I activated multiball by accident. Would have move me to 3rd in bronze. :)

Broke 1,5B yesterday but drained to late and missed out on he bonus. Oh well, back to RBiON and see if I can take #1 back.

Edit: Damn you RBiON-popbumpers! Draining to late again, bonus would have given me back #1! Done for today, let's go down to the pub!

Any advice for Tee'd Off? I can play the full 20 minutes and still not put up a competitive score. Really haven't spent much time on that game in real life or on TPA for 'personal reasons.'

Try to milk Pitch n' Putt for what it's worth by completing it as the last mode on your ball. If you're a good shooter, you'll be able to get over a billion this way. Combine this with the Lightnng Storm and you've got a deal. Then, attempt to head for SKINS! and double your score after this is accomplished. You'll have a pretty good score if you do this.

I could swear I posted a comment on the new tournament format, but I can't seem to find it. Anyways...

I like the fact that they're timed now, but I really think that the timer shouldn't be resettable, and that you should only get one chance at the table. If not, what's to stop someone from playing continuously until they hit 19:59, exiting, and playing again to maximize their score?

The timed tourney kinda makes me wonder if there could be support for other times of time attacks.

Say instead of score you're timed to see how fast you can complete a certain wizard goal, such as getting Lost in the Zone or hitting a million in Haunted House.

There is a variation of this played at some conventions called Score Don't Count (may have the name wrong), but score means nothing, and you're marked on how many modes from a checklist you get in a pre-determined order. Will probably be a lot harder to implement than a score tournament, though, particularly considering how hard it is to register goals in the first place.

I like the time limit, but I would also love to see a tournament with a limit on number of plays.

Either that you have just one play per table or say a total number of ten plays and you decide how you distribute those ten among the available tables.

I could even see a modified version, where you can play as many times as you like as long as you keep beating your highest score. Say you're given three times to fail to beat your highest score. After these three "strikes" you can no longer advance your score on that table.

Even a 'best of three submitted score' would be cool. Basing it on one game kinda rubs me the wrong way cuz of the variation inherent to pinball. I know PAPA finals are one game but that's a spectator sport so it's okay.

Also ditch the Hevetica timer in the corner for a cool alphanumeric LED already :p

So, if a cat jumps in my lap while playing or I have any other distractions whatsoever, I'm automatically out of the tournament?

Ugh.

How about "push your luck"? Play as much as you want, but only the latest score is counted.
