Now you are making me seriously jealous!
You found a UK girl that likes Pinball!

Only joking - sounds like you've had an awesome trip!
Looking forward to hearing how you go on.

If I had found out sooner I'd definitely make the trip down. Doubt I'll attend this year, but next year I'll plan for it!

Is it always London based?

I found the remnants of a Blackpool based similar event on Google which was last year.

Would be good if people could post any upcoming UK events on here.
Definitely planning on attending some of these.

I'm definitely going to the Pinball Party. I'm pretty rubbish at pinball compared to real experts so I doubt I'll be taking part in any competitions with anyone, but I just want to have a little weekend away doing something fun and playing on a bunch of real tables.

Copied from another thread - but I thought relevant here.....

Hey All - I'm in the UK and have been in touch recently with 'Northern Lights Pinball' http://www.ukpinball.com/

You can contact them for UK wide details of who / where to contact by emailing to this address info@ukpinball.com

They are amazingly helpful and really friendly (I've already had an invite to go play). Make sure you go to their Facebook page and give them a like too! www.facebook.com/NLPinball

Some upcoming UK events are..... http://www.ukpinballparty.com/ this is a meet in Daventry 17th-19th August and will feature 110+ pinball machines this year.

A great source for other upcoming events I've found is here........Pinball News Diary - it has loads of worldwide & uk events http://www.pinballnews.com/diary/index.html

Get involved guy's!

I'm in the real North West (Lake District) where can I play real tables? I've found 2 in Squires sports bar in Lancaster but that's it.

Tempted to phone the supplier of those pins and ask them where else they have any :p

Did you try Pinformer.....

Shows most venues where machines have been spotted and what condition they are in. If the one's you found aren't in there, slip em in!

Thanks again to Turbine for this link.

Also email info@ukpinball.com and ask them who/where/what is close to you.
A lot of private collectors are willing to let others play there machines.
Strongly recommend this option.

Just tried a different approach by ringing the pin supplier (Maine Amusements Ltd) but they had no idea where they had their tables installed, confused.

Awesome site - wish I had known about it years ago! I had no clue the big HMV on Buchanan street had pinball, but it has Whitewater, Tron Legacy, Transformers and I think one other - definitely going to city centre next weekend to check it out!

Do you know if there's tables in the Trafford Centre? I need something to do on the Friday when I get there :p

Nope, no tables - there is an arcade in the food court, but no pinball.
There's a multi screen cinema, and the shops and bars in the Trafford are open till 10.

Can you clarify how much tickets are? Do the tickets get you into the expo too? Can I rock up and just play pinball at my leisure without having to enter competitions?

In work, but off top of my head about £8 for each single day or £14 for the full weekend.
http://www.playexpo.net
ticket link http://www.ticketline.co.uk/play-expo-2012#bio

Tickets should cover all events and expo sections (i doubt I'll be leaving the replay section though).
You don't have to enter competitions. I'm not planning on doing anyway!

Booking fee is not inc above prices.
