I asked Gord Lacey, not you.
The attack and the piracy comment were separate according to his sentence.

So, where was the attack?

Just leave. Nothing you can possibly say will interest us now that you've destroyed your reputation here, and we don't have time to waste on semantics.

You don't like FarSight or TPA. We get it. That's fine. Now go.

I like how everyone is jumping all over that guy, but no one is addressing the issue at hand.

I just saw a Representative of Farsight Studios state that my money and my opinion matters less then others because I am a Facebook "fan"

How is this acceptable? How about this Farsight, since apparently you don't need my money, how about you give it all back? The kickstarter funding, the money for the game and all the DLC I bought. When I bought the game, the preview text clearly stated that I would be getting frequent new tables. I can't even get non-buggy versions of the tables already available! You wonder why you can't get your project greenlit on Steam? It really shouldn't be that hard to figure out. You are lucky you are a small company, if you where EA people would be out for blood.

If you need to know where to address the refund check, you know how to get in touch with me.

I smell a false flag burning....

Why? Because I am upset that Farsight insults the same fanbase that pays the employees salaries? You are right, I am a horrible person to expect that the company not treat me like I am a jerk because I am demanding what I was promised when they sold me the product.

If you are implying that I am the same person as that other guy, any mod who can check the IP logs will tell you that is simply not true.

I have been checking up on facebook from time to time and let's just say I was not surprised that Okurka would step over the line on this forum. Just surprised it did not happen sooner

Hm... Before reading this thread this morning I had reported another of okura's post a few minutes ago saying that he was good at posting stuff that's just almost ban-worthy. Guess you can ignore that report, mods.

Just in case you're still reading okura. Once again: It's not what you say, it's how you say it. Well, as long as you don't say something as stupid as suggesting pirating TPA on a TPA fan forum. And yes, we are a bunch of TPA fans. The name of this forum might have given you a clue about that.

I find it hilarious when people want to call someone a fanboi on this forum and instead of the usual defensive counter argument they were hoping for they get a "Gee really, what gave me away besides the effing url of this board you are posting on?"

Anyways, yes surprised it took this long for him to get banned considering the facebooktrolling. Time to move back to the topic, nothing to see, nothing to see (in my TPA xbox DLC section)

I also understand the difference between the fans on this forum and the "fans" on the facebook page.

Could you explain what you feel is the difference? Both seem passionate about pinball to me. One is just objective and the other is subjective. At the end of the day it's all about pinball.

I should probably clarify...there are many great fans on the facebook page. However there are a handful of trolls, that constantly post negative comments. It seems every time I go to the facebook page I read dozens of insults, which really just turns me off to the page all together. Unfortunatly this means that any legitimate issues posted there I won't see pesonally. I feel bad for Rob when he has to read through all of that.

Calling the developers (me included) incompetent, lazy, or stupid isn't someone I would consider a fan.

I don't mind being told about bugs, in fact I want to know whats wrong so we can fix it. Being insulted on the other hand isn't a great feeling when you put hard work into any project.

I'd like to thank all our fans out there who continue to support us. And know that we understand frustrations with delays and bugs, as we all play games here.

I think we also have to remember that for each fan/fanboy/defender-of-the-faith here and each "fan"/troll/blithering idiot on Facebook, there are probably 98 other people who are either too busy actually playing the game to be bothered to comment on it one way or the other, or who have quietly moved on to something else and will just as quietly come back once new DLC/updates are available.

This is really just the sound of two vocal minorities clashing.

I've only ever encountered a few issues and the odd bug. Folks saying that it's unplayable etc etc are just really over reacting imo. It's still a good game, it'll be a great great game in a few more months I'm certain. There's plenty of other games to play if you're that fed up with this 'unplayable beta software'.
Chin up Mike, every day's a school day and the kids will always come out to play!

In what way whatsoever is that what he says?

Personally, I'm glad to see a company that doesn't keep everything under a thick layer of superficial PR. Of course there's a difference between people who just clicked "like" on something on Facebook, and those who actually signed up on an internet forum to discuss it! That's not the same as saying their opinions matter less.

Hell yes. I played tons of TPA, and while I've encountered bugs, they were rare, and very rarely game breaking. And that's the a-few-patches-behind 360 version. Some people are just never satisfied.
